BOUGHT WISHING RING FOR THE STUD. El Paso, Tex.. March 23. AVishing Ring, which was purchased bv George Lindenbergcr last week, will be sent to Kentucky to be mated witli one or the noted horses in the Wickliffe Stud, owned by Pric-McKinncv. of Cleveland. This stud was purchased from the estate of the late J. R. Kecne. Mr Lin denberger has lieen official timer on the Kentucky tracks for the past eleven years and has ably officiated in that capacity at the Juarez course since its opening over live years ago. ."J"11 is some sentiment in his purchase or A ishing Ring. The mare traces back to the noted Mollie Able, bv Lexington, and years ago this mare, then owiied by L. L. Dorsey, a prominent horseman of Louisville. Ky.. was mated by him 0110 season to the famous trotting sire Gold Dust, lin? producc of this union was the trotting mare Noniiie. which was developed and trained by Mr. Linden berger and driven by him to a record of 2:32. a creditable performance in those days. He lias now secured AVishing Ring in the hope of some day breed ing from her a Kentucky Derby winner. She is one of the best bred mares ever raced on the Juarez track, being a daughter of the great Dick A Hies, out of the high-class Mary Levaua, by St. Andrew, and she out of Ea Peniteiite. by Watercress She traces back to the famous Tregouwell s Natural Barb mare No. 1 family of the Bruce Lowe figure system.
