He is aNo matins some of his mares to Joe Nealon. a son of Kismet bv Melton and Ronita R., by Apache. He lias placed Joe Nealon back m training this vear. however. Stokes, of trotting horse fame, is planning to race a small stable of thoroughbreds this season. Mr. Stokes in his youuger days was quite a steeplechase rider. Leonatus heing a Levity horse, this colt has tho same nick that produced Plaie Glass, Christo-phine, etc. Manola Mason dam of McChcsney. First Mason. MeKittridge, Wise Mason, La Souor, etc., by Top Gallant Katherine M.. died last week while foaling. R. F. Guthries two-year-old hay colt by St. Savin The Pet. has fully recovered from his recent injury and is going along promisingly at the Kentucky Association track.
