IMPROVEMENTS AT JUAREZ. El Paso. Tex.. March 2S. Captain W. IT. Fencli-ler of the Jockey Club Juarez is making arrangements to start work on improvements to the plant that will cost 0,000 within a few days. Five new buildings to be used for boarding kitchens will be erected during the summer. There will be 150 stalls built which will increase tlio stabling capacity to 1,200 stalls. A new field stand will be erected and the ollices will be remodeled throughout. The managers ollice will be enlarged. The lawn in front of the grandstand is to be terraced and a cement sidewalk laid. A cement sidewalk will also he laid iu front of the grandstand from the car line to the entrauce, which will make walking good during wet weather. Another store room will be built at the upper end of the grandstand. A cement wall will be built on the lower end of the course running from the stables to the paddock.
