AMATEURS TO HAVE DINNER STAKES. New York. March 2S. Nominations for the Sportsmens Steeplechase Handicap Dinner Stakes will be closed April 20. This race, one of the most recently created of the sporting events at hunt meetings, is to be run at Belmont Park Terminal May 23. While it has been run before under special weights, with gentlemen jockeys, this year it is under handicap conditions and it is possible to ride a professional. Another change is that for the coming race there will be a division of the monev between the first, second, third and fourth horses while formerly it all went to the winner.
