HARRY LAUDER began slowly, but moved up with a rush on the outside while rounding the far turn and, wearing NAPIER down in the stretch, outgamed him at the end. The latter showed much speed and raced Into the lead on the backstretch, but tired when called on for a final effort. LOU LANIER was taken back early and saved to the stretch, then finished with a belated rush. FALCADA pulled up lame. ilLDGE ROSE and SIGMA ALPHA ran well. AGNIER and SIR FRETFUL quit after racing prominently to the stretch. Tlie winner, entered for 00, was bid up to 1914.sh05 and bought in. Scratched 170S5 Lady Rankin. 105. PENALTY closed a big gap and, finishing fast and gamely, ran the best race of all. OROTUND and HA PENNY ran well and finished close up.
