The bookmakers will no longer quote odds In the ring at the Dor-val race track. Next spring the pari-mutuel system of betting will be installed at the new track. Such was the decision reached at the annual meeting of the Dorval Jockey Club, 90 St. James street. There has been much said regarding the continuation of the old system . .of having bookmakers at the Dorval track, but the decision .of the directors just, reached makes it certain that the day of the chalk wieldcrs, as far as Dorval is concerned, has passed. The reports presented showed that both meet-; ings held at Dorval track this year were highly; successful and the officials are enthusiastic over the prospects for next year. The complete board of directors was re-elected for the ensuing year as follows: President J. T. R. Laraudeau. Vice-president Major J. T. McBride. Board of directors E. II.
