MURRAY HENDRIE VICTIM OF ACCIDENT. Toronto, Ont., October 19. The untimely death of Murray Hendrie of the Valley Ranch, High River, Alberta, was reported yesterday, following a runaway accident, in which his lung was pierced. He was the youngest son of the the late William Hendrie of Hamilton and a brother of George M. Hendrie of Windsor, Lieut-Col. William Hendrie of the Canadian, contingent for Europe and John S. Hendrie, lleuteuent-governor of Ontario. Four years ago he was the most daring of steeplechase riders iu Canada and fearlessness under every condition of life was a matter of course with him. When the Boer war broke out he enlisted as a private in the First Canadians contingent for South Africa and at the close of the campaign was given a commission In the.
