Liverpool Autumn Cup. and the Queens Plate at Derby, while he showed his versatility by winning the Grand Hurdle Uace at Auteull. At five years his record was still better, for he accounted for, among the events for which he started, the Chester Cup, Gold Vase at Ascot, Goodwood Cup, and the Jockey Club Cup the latter being a walk-over. At six years, when he belonged to Mr. II. Bottomley. his only outlug was In the Salford Hurdle Uace at the Manchester Easter Meeting, which he won from a single opioneut with JO to 1 on him. Being then put to the stud, he was fairly successful, and one of his winners was Black Arrow which as a two and three-year-old won good races for Colonel Hall Walker, others being Pom, Knight of Tully, Torhay, Merry Moment. Golden Table, Fairy Fcotstep, Garrogie Blind Hookey, Protestant Boy, Steinhager, Springy, Ueiue. and Ueviere. Among his recent progeny were Carrickfergus, Cock of the Bock. Dittany. Floriu, John Ameudall. Kyoto, and Sordello. Much was hoped for from Carrickfergus, which though unsuccessful as a juvenile, was expected to achieve classic honours this year, but was unplaced for the Two Thousand Guineas. Derby, aud St. Leger.
