WINGFIELD YEARLINGS IN CALIFORNIA. San Francisco, Cal., December S. Recently there arrived at the state fair grounds at Sacramento from the Nevada Stock Farm. George W. Wiug-tields nursery at Reno, eight head of the choicest thoroughbred yearlings that have come west hi a long time. The youngsters have just come off pasture at the farm, and are In the finest sort of shape for starting work, as they are well grown aud hearty as can lie. Willi the exception of the Col. Whceler-Uecreatlon filly from the Burns and Waterhouse establishment, the "babies" came from Kentucky, .having lieen purchased at the Kcene sale, and are as follows: Mark G.. chestnut colt by Superman Jarto: Skeer Face, bay colt by Hip-jwdrome Fleeing Venus: Bosella, bay filly by Voter Hanrose; Mary Jay. bay filly by Hippodrome Calyx; AVashoe Belle, chestnut filly by Voter Hattie AValker; Tze-Lsl. bay lilly by Voter-Falr Empress, and Esmeralda, brown filly by Sweep Grace Commoner. The stable is In the capable bauds of trainer George Strato, and thoi-e that stand the preparation and show something which from present indications means the entire string will go east in 1915 to introduce the Wing-field colors at the principal meetings.
