His letter, in part, was as follows: "No doubt you have my wire informiug you of the many applications I have received from the horsemen for stall room for their horses iu New Orleans. I can assure you that the stories of the proposed crusade against the carujng, meeting haver, lieen a great boost for the "meetlmr ahdfthe-horse-men were not backward in expressing their opinions regarding parties who would undertake lo harm a meeting to be held in New Orleans. And, as 1 said In my telegram, the affair has won us many additional owners. "Horses are arriving here dally, and for this reason I have not completed the stall list. Of course. I will do so in a few days but I thought it best to wire you as to thu probable number of stalls that will be required, so you could make tha necessary arrangements for stabling, and I hope that satisfactory arrangements will be made to this end. "The horses will start leaving here earlier th-in you might think. The horsemen who are at present in New Orleans have sent very encouraging reports iu letters to horsemen here. "When I distributed the program books for the first weeks racing in New Orleans, everybody appeared well pleased with the outlook."
