FINE RECORD OF CAPT. E. B. CASSATTS STABLE FOR THIS YEAR : ; 4. This was Capt. 13. 1$. Cassatts banner year on the turf in the matter of stable earnings. Last year his horses won 1,592, to his total of 2,975 tills year represents a decided gain. About half of the whole sum was due to the tleetness of his two excellent two-year-olds, Garbage and Trial by Jury, both of which ranked high among the horses of their age. However, the older favorite of the stable. Flying Fairy, was its principal winner and is probably entitled to bo considered the best four-year-old filly of the year. The old standby. Spring Board, contrived to win some races, but on the whole it was not a lucky year for him and he seemed to have lost some of the dash and speed that frequently marked his racing of the year before. Then he wen ten races and 7,775, whereas this year he could do no butter than three races and ,700. The Aeronaut colt, Spearhead, did quite well and gave the impression of being a horse likely to shine as a stayer when older. The stable record of this years satisfactory campaign was: Horse.
