CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Trainer Wallers announces that he has abandoned all attempts to get Mr. Hendries great horse. Great Britain, to the post again. This son of The Commoner will be retired to the stud next spring. This grand horse should be located in Kentucky to carry on the male line of Glencoe. If racing merit counts he is the horse to do it. American breeders and owners of blood stock have beeu more ready than Canadians to take advantage of the depression in. the English market, but it is said that one prominent Canadian owner has improved the opportunity to replenish his stable by the purchase of some young horses in Britain. — Francis Kelson in Toronto Globe.
