*fr — _ . _ _ £, WHAT BONNY LADDIE AND HIS STABLE MATES WON FOR THEIR OWNER THIS YEAR + . — _ —4, The wealthy Philadelphia turfman, J. E. Widcner, does not race on an extensive scale and confines his activities on the turf of this country to steeplechasing. He won some good races this year with the Doranto gelding. Bonny Laddie, which now being only a four-year-old could not well be expected to attain the meridian of his form as a jumper for at least two years more. From the form of good ones he defeated this young horse is probably a steeplechaser of extraordinary promise and may do great things between the flags before long. Of his other horses, Skibbereen, El Bart, Compliment and Valentine all won sufficiently well to more than pay their expenses. The record of the stable was as follows: Horse. Col. and Sex. A.
