Pan Zareta. from an outer position, went into a good lead at once, with Marion Goosby and Skeer Face in close pursuit. Ian Carets again tired when about an eighth out and Marion Goosby drew out decisively, shaking off Skeer Face in the last sixteenth. A tremendous throng visited the track this afternoon. The valuable Hotel Mens Handicap was contested by son;e of the best horses on lue grounds and the Imperial Potentate festivities in honor of J. Putnam Stevens, head of the Shriners. who is visiting here, being magnets in attracting the crowd. In the handicap named for the Imperial Potentate. Bringhurst appeared to have forced Dr. I.arrick back soon after the start, but affer the finish Kederis, on Bringhurst. complained that Butwell. who rode Dr. I.arrick, had made an attempt to grab Briughursts saddle. After interrogating the riders, the .iudges suspended both of them for the rest of the meeting.
