RECORDS OF THE KINGS PLATERS. Toronto. Int.. March 22. The racing experience of the sixteen horses in this years Kings Plate covers 1115 starts last year and 2d the previous season. Tin- altered conditions, allowing two-year old winners to run for the Guineas where formerly tiny were barred, added greatly to the opportunities of Canadian breeders, and last leasou the platers of this year earned a total of 2,717. Neither Johnny Austin nor Offertory ran in 1911. but Shrovetide tried fi - times and was al-ways out of the money. Last Spark won e of his nine two -year old efforts and was unplaced in all the others. John Peels record was much the same. He wen once in twelve starts, was third twice and iliiplaci d nine-times.
