This syndicate has made application to the authorises of Havana, for a concession for a hippodrome la be constructed within the limits of the municipality, for the pur -paaa of carrying on racing and breeding, the erection of a clubhouse, hotels, restaurants and the privilege of conducting pari mutind betting, book-making and other legalized forms of betting. The exact location of the proponed track was not announced, but those acquainted with the plan-say that the grounds will be within ten minutes ride of the principal hotels More than 1H acres of land is said to have been obtained and ar rangements made for the building of a steel and concrete grandstand, clubhouse and hotel.
