MUCH ADVOCACY FOR COL. YOUNG. Lexington. Ky.. March 28. — Senator Johnson . Camden wind from Hot Springs this morning that he had telegraphed Oovernor Stanley recommending the appointment of Colonel Milton Young as his successor on the Kentucky State Racing Commission. A committee of turfmen will go to Frankfort tomorrow with numerously signed petitions in behalf of Colonel Young. Judge William H. Shelley this morning had a con-feren ■ • with Secretary O. D. Wilson and track superintendent James I. Ross and returned to Louisville this afternoon, to await the action of the Kentucky State Racing Commission on the request of the Kentucky Association that he be reappointed racing secretary for Lexington. O. W. J. Kissell and trainer James Gass arrived last night from Havana in charge of the Rissell string of ten racers, including Helmets Daughter, Cadillac and Seminole. Lewis Garth, a prominent young Virginian trainer, was here today to consult with John E. Madden concerning prospective thoroughbred purchase. Fred Good, of Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, came ill this morning to spend a few days and see some horses in which he is interested among them Orgeterix. N. Macfariane, well-known Canadian racing patron, is bete to have a look at the horses in Al Austins stable.
