LITTLE SPIDER raced into a good lead in the first quarter and, holding on well under mild urging, outstayed MONEY. The latter lost ground early and finished fast, but was lame when returning to the stand. SWEET HELEN raced well, but tired slightly in the stretch. NOW THEN was well up all the way. MIDWAY was hard ridden and overhauled SEDAN in the closing strides. SEDAN raced well to the stretch and tired badly. Scratched — 26250 Jargon. 99. THE GRADER suffered from interference early and had to race wide throughout, but finished fast and got up to win in the last few strides. GROVER HUGHES, well up from the start, raced into the lead in the stretch, but tired slightly near the end. GIPSEY GKORCK meed prominently, hut swerved badly in the stretch when seeming to have a good chance. LADY ROTHA ran well, but tired. DARK FLOWER and IMPRESSIVE quit badly.
