PETROVNA, racing well in the going, sprinted into a good lead at once, but had to l e ridden hard near the end to outstay ROSEWOOD. The latter ran close up all the way and finished gamely. SAUTERELLE raced close up in nearest pursuit from the start and held on well in the final drive. HARRY GARDNER saved much ground on all the turns. WATERPROOF came from far back in the last quarter. CASH ON DELIVERY was outpaced all the way. PERUGINO showed speed, but quit badly in the last quarter. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
