MANOKIN began from the outside and had to work his way up through rough going, but easily disposed of his opi onents in the last quarter. JOANNA II. steadily improved her tsjsition from a slow beginning and outgamed CONOWINGO. The latter raced in closest pursuit to the stretch and tired BRIGHT AND EARLY set the early pace, but quit in the stretch. The latter raced OLD POP into defeat in the early running and came again in the last few strides. OLD POP raced gamely but tired. IRISH HEiRT began slowly and soon dropped back.
