SONNY BOY sprinted to the front soon after the start and drew away into a good lead, but was tiring at the end. HEARTHSTONE began slowly, but closed a big gap and finished fast and gaining. ARCENE showed speed, but quit in the homestretch. SCALLYWAG ran poorly. BURIN closed a big gap. MARGARET G. quit. The winner was entered for ,200; no bid. AFTERGLOW began slowly and was outrun for the first half, then closed up with a rush and got up to win in the last stride. QUIEN SABE saved ground when entering the homestretch ,ind finished gnmelv, but tired right at the end. LILY ORME showed speed from the start and raced into the lead, but came wide when entering the homestretch and lost ground enough to cost her the race. MRS. MC set the early pace and quit. PHIL MOHR dropped back on the haekstrctch, but came again in the last eighth and finished fast. SERVICENCE finished gamely and beat MIL MACK 111 the last stride for third place. The latter was in close quarters and had to be pulled up. EUTERPE set the pace to the last eighth and tired. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. KENDALL was taken back on the backstretch and moved up fast when entering the homestretch, but tired after getting to the leader. LONDON GIRL made up ground and tired. STOUT HEART appeared unable to extend himself in the going. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to 00 and bought by G. 1 lullips.
