SOME WORDS CONCERNING NASSOVIAN. Exeeuses have been made for Nassovian, but as far as I am aware none for Kwang-Su, unless it be that the New Derby was a false-run race, which would perhaps be to the advantage of the winner. I am not seriously impressed with the argument that Mr. Hultons mare was so much better on the Oaks than the Derby day, for, easily as she won. it must be admitted that the two colts would have served Salamaudra and Market Girl in much the same style. Nassovian is a hardy customer, in striking contrast to others of Venerations produce, and notwithstanding his severe race was soon busy at the manger, and after a reasonable respite resumed strong work with the rest of the Kremlin House team. It is further in favor of the son of William the Third that, characteristic of the breed, he Improves with each outing, but the same thing can be advanced in respect to Kwang-Su, which has also come on a lot from two to three years old. and is thoroughly consistent and resolute. Although it is an admittedly near tiling between the pair, the Manton colt has had the best of it twice. "The Special Commissioner" in London Sportsman.
