RACING FLOURISHING IN ITALY. . The jockey of the moment in Italy is undoubtedly A. Woodland, who recently Avon six races in four davs at Milan. Five of the winners he steered were trained by W. Smith, and the remaining one by Frank Turner. The trainer last named, by the way, has charge of M. Camille Blancs Italian string, which consists only of about three horses, and two of them were successful the other day. Chevalier Ginistrellis one-time classic candidate, Signorino half-brother to Signorinetta continues to do well at the stuel in Italy, anel on June 1 one of his three-year-old offspring, Idolo A. Woodland up, secured the Prix du Prince Amedee, a race for three-year-olds run over a mile and three-eiglitha 400 sovereigns. Another of Woodlands successes was gained on Rasas, a five-year-old horse of Capt. Greers breeding by Gallinule out of .303. The dam of Rasas is one of tiie first crop got by Carbine after his importation into this country by the Duke of Portland. It is worthy of note that on the day Idolo won the race referred to W.
