PIATT, away fast and showing the most speed, ran like a good colt and held on gamely through the stretch. NOW THEN followed in closest pursuit all the way and finished fast. FIZER began slowly and moved up menacingly on the stretch turn, but tired in the final eighth. PIR-AEUS. practically left, closed a big gap. ALTAMAHA was forced back soon after the start, but saved much ground on the turns and finished fast and gamely. BLACK BEAUTY elosed a gap and came fast through the stretch. MARTRE tired in the last eighth. LANGHORNE hail to race wide. ROYAL INTEREST dropped back after racing close up foi the first three-eighths. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
