MANOKIN forced a fast pace for the first three-eighths, then took the lead and hung on gamely after disposing of HASTY CORA. FOX TROT began slowly and was crowded back, but finished catching the leader with every stride. WAT ran well and hung on gamely in the final drive. EASTER LILY tired. LOHENGRIN showed the most early speed, but tired in the last eighth anil was lame when he pulled up. DICKS PET raced gamely, but could never get to the lenders. RUNES was forced wide on the first turn by SCHEMER, but finished fast and outstayed RANCHER in the final drive. The latter ran an excellent race under his heavy impost. YORK LAD had a couple of lengths lead at the start and set the pace to the sixteenth post, but tired badly right at the finish. CAPTAIN PARR had a rougli race and finished witli a rush.
