HANSON showed great speed in paeemnking and responded gamely when challenged. DR. LARRICK was saved for the first half, but tired, finally. The others were beaten off. The latter was under punishment through the final half and gained steadily. TRANSIT was a forward contender throughout and hung on gamely. MONOCACY set a good pace, but quit badly in the homestretch.
