SANGUINE EXPECTATIONS AT WINDSOR. Detroit, Mich, July 11. Fourteen horses of the best handicap calibre are being pointed for tho Frontier Handicap, with ,000 added, to bo run at the Windsor Jockey Clubs track nest Saturday. There are fifty-seven cligiblos. the largest number of nominations in the history of the fixture, and the indications are that a record field will start. Among tho number which may face the barrier are: It. J. Austins Commonada; K. L. Bakers Pif, Jr.; George M. Hendrios Rancher; Jefferson Livingstons Bova! II.; M. C. Moores Marion Goosby; J. K. L. Boss Damrosch; Mrs. A. B. Stelles Obolus; Wilfred Viaus Achievement; II. Watersons Runes; E. T. Zollieoflors All Smiles; J. Siunotts Col. Gutei-ius; W. R. Mizells Robert Bradley; W. L. Olivers Kowessa; N. Macfarlanes Schemer, E. W. Moores Arriot: E. It. Bradleys Blind Baggage; James Austins Margery; T. 1. Hayes Donerail, and Mrs. L. A. Livingstons Puts and Calls. The program for the opening day at the Windsor meeting calls for a cash distribution of nearly 0,000, the purses all averaging more than 00. In fact, tho purses during the entire meeting average better than 00. while thi! stake offerings range in value from ,500 to tho ,000 Frontier Handicap. It is duo to this increased money offering that tho class of horses on the ground already or coming to contest the races across the river, surpass that of any year in the history of the track. Racing devotees to tho number of 12.000 and more visited the course daily during the two Windsor meetings last year and the management have prepared for and excess of that attendance this year. Among the arrivals Monday were the five horses in Pat Civills stable, including Porugino, a I. and C. candidate: W. W. Looney with five head, including tho Edonwold oligibles, Beautiful Morn and Kentucky Boy. A contingent from Aqueduct included George A. Alexandras string, embracing Ray o Light. Top o th Morning. Redland, Tackles, Recluse, Ataka, Galeswinthe, Shabeen and Etruscan. Stables have been assigned to tho following due to arrive Tuesday: J. U. Strode, 5; E. Cook, 3; T. R. Anderson, 2; E. B. Elkins, 3; Alex Gates. 9; F. S. Fogg. 5; Frank Foster, 2; William Walker. 13; James Barry, 4; T. P. Christ. 4. and a second division of the It. J. Mackenzie stable. The Harry Payne Whitney string and those of T. P. Hayes and J. W. Fuller will arrive on Wednesday. Thursday two special trains will bring the horses now at Fort Erie and on the same day about 200 head Mill arrive at Windsor from Latonia.
