James Butlers Spur demonstrated today in the Knickerbocker Handicap at Empire City that he can carry weight well when running with horses of his own age. He was admirably ridden by jockey Loftus and. running around his opponents, won comfortably. Tea Caddy threatened to give him some trouble for a time, but as soon us Loftus was ready to shake Mr. Belmonts colt ofr the race was over.
