CURRENT NOKES OF THE TURF. Spring Board, winner of many a good race, is now serving Captain E. B. Cassatt as Ins saddle horse. Lord dAbemons filly Diadem, winner of the New Coventry and the Fulbourne Stakes, is Vonsidered the best two-vear-old of the English sctison. She is a daughter of Richard Crokers Derby winner Orby. Cubans, direct from Havana, are prominent in the lobbies of the big hotels at Saratoga Springs. The Cubans always did like Saratoga and their interest in the Spa this year was further increased by the excellent race meeting given at Havana last winter. It was said after Saturdays sale at Hamilton that this would be the last offering of Valley Farm yearlings by the estate of William Hendrie, but that the breeding operations would be continued by Sir John and Mr. George M. Hendrie with their own mares. Miss Marion, by Himyar Astolat. a fine race mare and an excellent broodmare, died last year, her death being unreported at the time. She was the property of Barney Schreiber and for him she foaled such good racers as Woodlands, Tom Mc-Grath, Joe Carey nnd Sager, besides other useful ones of lesser note.
