JAVATO followed the pacemaker closely until straightened out in the homestretch, then wore the leader down and got up to win in the final strides. ISABELLE II. was cut off on the turn out of the backstretch. but finished with a rush and was going fastest at the end. SILK RUSTLE set a fast pace, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. FLYING FLORA showed the most speed from the start and outgamed HASTENA in the final drive. The latter raced in closest pursuit, but tired after making a game effort at the eighth post. FAIR ORIENT was a forward contender all the way. AVOLONTE, a slow beginner, made a fast finish. DAPIIEEN DAAASON showed speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. TARAHERA, after racing on the outside of the leaders from the start add being forced wide on the turns, finished fast and gamely and won going away. THE GADDER was in close quarters for the first three-eighths, then came fast and outstayed SAVILLA. The latter was much used in racing MEDDLING MISS into defeat and tired in the stretch drive. The latter set a fast pace, but failed to stay when challenged. AENETIA stumbled and went to her knees at the start. TIA.IAN began slowly. Overweights Outlook, 3 pounds.
