QUITE A SUCCESSFUL SALE OF YEARLINGS. Progeny of Old Sir John Johnson in Favor with Purchasers. Saratoga Springs, N. Y.. August 5. Thirty-eight yearlings from the Edenwold Stud in Tennessee owned by Messrs. W. O. Parmer and G. M. Hendrie, and John E. Muddens far-famed Hamburg Place were sold by auction in the Saratoga paddocks before the racing today. Some creditable prices were realized, the better offerings producing spirited competition. The star of the sale was a colt by Star Shoot Ohiyesa in the Parmer-IIendrie consignment. He went to R. F. Carman on his bid of ,700. Mr. Riddle of the Glen Riddle Farms, was again an extensive buyer and so was Mrs. Walter Mc.Ielfords.
