KOOTENAY ran well, but was tiring and driving hard at the end to outstay HOPS. The latter closed a big gap and finished well. RESIGN set a fast pace,, but quit when, challenged. THOUGHTFUL went to the front with a rusk! and -was taken under stout restraint -when challenged. MATIN finished fast. MEDDLING MISS and Dli. TUCK showed speed, but tired. RANCHER responded with a rush when called on and passed the tiring BORROW in the last fifty yards. BORROW showed great speed and tired under his weight in the last eighth. ALL SMILES finished gamely. GOLDY quit suddenly on the turn into the backstreteh, causing a jam in which LIN BROOK stumbled and lost her rider. NANN IE McDEE ran well. The winner, entered for 1916.sh00, was claimed by G. A.
