SEAGRAM HORSES ARRIVE AT WINDSOR. Detroit, Mich., August 5. Joseph E. Seagrams string of twenty-five horses has arrived at the Windnor race track from Hamilton to rest up until the second summer meeting of August 15 to "3. The Seagram establishment has eyes on the ,500 Canadian Handicap, to be run on the third day of the meeting, the Viable having no less than six nominations for th race. All of this sextet. Gala Day, Mandarin, Gala Water, Dehaven, Sweet Colleen and Late Hours were out on the track this morning, which was in fine condition for exercising. Mrs. L. A. Livingstons string of twelve horses, antl George M. Hendries stable were among Fridays arrivals. Puts and Calls and Prime Mover in the former outfit were given work-outs for the Ferry Handicap. Mrs. Livingston deciding to make a try for the 3,000 stake with one or the other of the pair. Rancher and Sands of Pleasure, two of the Hen-drie racers, are being especially pointed for the George Ilendric Memorial Handicap at a mile, to be run on the last day of the meeting. The heavy rain last night did wonders for the track, which had dried out anil was fast at six oclock this morning. Track superintendent Sam Parmer says that practically all of the stall room at the track has been engaged for the meeting, while many horses will have to be stabled outside of the jockey club property. Fully S00 head will bo on hand.
