HAZEL- NUT moved up rapidly on the turn out of the backstretch, but tired in tlic last sixteenth. CRUCES ran well stud outstayed GREAT DOLLY in the linal drive. FRIJOLEE, showing the most speed fro m the start, raced ARCTURUS into defeat in the first turn of the field and when CHAS. P. GRAI NGER challenged drew away easily. The latter dropped too far back in the first mile and, tiring after closing a big gap, was eased up in the last sixteenth. ARCTURUS fenced well, but tired badly in the last half. RUSSELL SQUARE, off slowly and b.idly outrun early, closed a gap and, finishing fast, got up to win in the final stride. EULOGY ran well and finished on the inside where the going was deepest or siie probably would have won. PEEP SIGHT beat tlie barrier, but tired badly in the last sixteenth.
