TO MAKE SARATOGA THE SALES CENTER. j Lexington, Ky., August 30. Dr. M. AV. Williams, owner of the Adelbert Stud, Ilopkinsville. Ky., has 1 inaugurated a movement for the establishment of a permanent sales mart at Saratoga- and is asking that the breeders of the thoroughbred horses in the Blue Grass region join in an agreement to send their marketable yearlings there to be sold in the same week. He says he recently took the matter up 1 with the Powers-Hunter Company and that he is assured that, if the breeders will agree to send I their yearlings, the company will make ample provision and have continuous sales each evening by electric light until all are disposed of. "Saratoga . it the logical plare and August is the logical time to sell vcarlings," said Dr. Williams. "Horsemen 1 from the east, the worst and Canada all are there : at that time."
