FUZZY AVUZZY raced into the lead quickly and, keeping it, withstood LONGFELLOWS challenge "iii the linal eighth. LONGFELLOW saved ground on all turns and finished fast and gamely. AIIARA was forced wid-? 011 the stretch turn and would liave won in a few more strides. ROSE AVATER gained steadily in the homestretch. HANK ODAY raced in nearest pursuit of the leader and finished resolutely under hard pressure. LAI A FRANK moved up menacingly at the quarter nost but bolted to the outer rail in the final eighth, then came again and was gaining in the closing it.-i!e: HAUBERK had no mishaps and finished fast.
