DOVEDALK made a game effort in the homestretch, but tired in the closing strides. KEZIAIl set the pace and showed excellent speed for seven-eighths, but tired and finished in deep going next to the inner rail. WHITE .METAL was outpaced, but ran gamely. The latter raced in the best going all the w:v. but .tired in the filial sixteenth. TIE PIX, away slowly and messed about, closed a gap. PEACEFUL STAR displayed early sliced. XAUSHOX ran poorly. MALACHITE set a fast early pace and. responding gamely to urging, outstayed SOLAR STAR. The latter took the lead on the far turn, but came wide when entering the homestretch, then made a game finish. CRIMPER ran in closest pursuit in the enrly running, but also tired in the final quarter when called on for a final effort. AIR MAX and KILMER were outpaced and outclassed.
