KENILW0RTH MEETING COMES TO AN END. Windsor, Out., September 9. With fine snnny weather prevailing a crowd of ten thousand persons turned out for tiie final day of the inaugural meeting at Kenilworth Park. The card for the day was one in which there was plenty of contention in every race, the closest finish of the afternoon being in the opening race, when Wavering beat Souvenir by a nose. Wavering saved ground in the early running and barely caught Souvenir at the end. The winner of this race paid the highest mutuel dividend of the meeting 4. ."0. Martin Nathanson, who will act as racing secretary and presiding steward at the meeting to be held at Devonshire Park, opening September 23, was a visitor here today. He distributed the program book for the meeting among the horsemen. The conditions show that purses ranging from 1916.sh00 to 00 will be offered. The conditions meet general approval among the horsemen and a number will stay here to rest their horses until the opening at Devonshire lark. The work of starter Frank McGinity here this week has been good. He has got big fields away with little trouble. The meeting has been a successful one from every standpoint. The next meeting at this course opens on October 14. and a number of improvements will be made in the meantime. The feature race of the afternoon, a handicap at one mile and seventy yards, was won by the well-backed Typhoon from Star of Love.
