CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. The final time of race 29252 Avas 1:45, instead of 1:45 as previously printed. A considerable delegation from Ruffalo will journey to Toronto for the opening of the AAoodbine meeting. In AVellington N. Z. all the buildings on the race course at Trentham are again being used by the military authorities. The horse Monoeacy, entered at Dorval, Wednesday, was scratched by order of the stewards, because he is not in the care of a licensed trainer. AV. A. McKinney, Avho lost Dundreary a day or two ago, claimed Little String from J. M. Rooker after the fifth race at Dorval, AVednesday, for ,000. Jockey C. Dishmon Avas suspended at Dorval. AAednesday, until the Canadian Racing Associations officials deal with him for presenting himself at the scales in unfit condition to ride. Captain R., Avinner of the race for Canadian-owned two-year-olds at Dorval, AVednesday, Avas bred and is owned by and carried the colors of G. Melross, Avhich is the nome-de-couse of the M. Ross Gooderham of Toronto. It Avas a coincidence that the papers on AAednesday carried the cabled report that the owner of Captain It., avIio had the rank of major in the Seventy-fourth Canadian batallion, had, at his" own request, reverted to the rank of lieutenant in order to proceed to the front, his batal-lion being still in training in England.
