EXCELLENT CARD AT WOODBINE PARK. Toronto, Out., September 22. Everything points to a most successful opening of the fall meeting at Woodbine tomorrow. The plant is spic and span and the lawns and flower beds present a beautiful picture. Light showers, which fell yesterday, greatly benefited tin; track and steeplechase course. All indications now point to a fast track and clear skies. The card is a rich one giving over 7.000 in added money. The outstanding feature is the Toronto Autumn Cup, a handicap with 2,500 added, for three-year-olds and over, at a distance of one and a quarter miles, for which Rancher has been allotted the exacting impost of 123 pounds. There are seven for this race. It will be Ranchers first start since the meeting at Windsor where he pulled up slightly lame. He is now said to be in good condition. The other features are the Rothschild Cup, a sprinting handicap with S00 added, and the AVood-Irine Autumn Steeplechase with 1,000 added at two miles. Eight are carded for this event, including Hearts of Oak from the Ghhiings stable. Hearts of Oak has not started since the spring meeting here. Tropaoelum is asked to carry top weight of 153 pounds. Mack Frost was claimed by J. C. Mays for 00 after winning the sixth race on the closing day at Dorval. A meeting will be held here Monday by the Canadian Racing Associations for the transaction of regular business. The cases of trainer .7. It. Dunn ami jockeys C. Dishmon, AV. AVnrrington and H. Simpson will also be given attention. Jockey A. Mott was an arrival from Kentucky this morning. He will ride as a free lance during the meeting. Jockey J. Williams, who was ill during the Dorval meeting, will resume riding tomorrow.
