McTAGGART EVADES GREAT DANGER. Johnny McTaggart, Americas leading jockey, narrowly escaped being killed in the sixth race at the Havre de Grace nice track AVednesday afternoon. AVhile riding Naushon, the favorite, he Avas caught in a jam Avhilo struggling for possession of the mil position on the first turn and the horse stumbled to his knees. The famous jockey Avas thrown out of his saddle and landed astride of Naushons neck close to his head. Only the jockeys presence of mind and superb knowledge of the thoroughbred saved him from being thrown under the hoofs of the other flying horses. He caused Naushon to recover quickly, and after desperate efforts Avriggled back into the saddle. Rut by the time he had righted himself Naushon was far in the rear Avith no chance of Avin-ning the race.
