HAMPTON DAME was taken to the front on the far turn and kept close to the rail for the entire way and won going away. MOSS FOX raced forwardly and gamely and was easily best of the others. FRUIT CAKE, close np from the start, caught LITTLE WONDER on the last turn and, racing into a safe lead, easily maintained it to the finish. LIT ILL W ONDER set a fast pace and tired when challenged, but finished gamely. NIGHT CAP raced well and outstayed MISS TIPPERARY for third place. The latter was a close contender to the last eighth.
