LAST COIN GOES TO KENTUCKY. New York, October 9. Dr. R. W. McCully has purchased the unbeaten Last Coin, a four-year-old son of Ultimus and Half Crown, from James Butler, for 0,000. He will be shipped to Kentucky, where it is probable he will take his place at the Kingston Farm of Price McKinney. The purchase was made by Dr. McCully for Dr. E. W. Haggnrd, of Lexington, but it is a pretty well established fact that Dr. Haggard was acting for Mr. McKinney. It is natural that Last Coin should go to the Kinston Stud for Mr. McKinney was the most liberal purchaser that attended the disperal sale of. the Castleton Stud, after the death of James R. Keene. He has an abiding faith in the blood-lines that were so successful at Castleton. Last Coin was one of the most promising prospects When he went into retirement at the end of his two-year-old season, and the only reason for his not having been shown since that time was that he suffered a bowed tendon.
