SANCTUM A CESAREWITCH WINNER. Loudon, England, October 18. At Newmarket today the Cosarewitch Handicap at two miles and a quarter was won by "W. Raphaels four-year-old chestnut colt Sanctum, by Santoi La Croisette, 101 pounds, with J. Coopers four-year-old bay filly Corn Sheaf, by Cornstalk Lady Cringle, 10S pounds, second, and Sir A. Baileys four-year-old brown filly Dark Opal, by Dark Ronald Fire Clay, eighty-nine pounds, third. Nineteen horses ran and the winner had been the steadily-backed favorite for several weeks past.
