MAY ASSIGN KENTUCKY SPRING DATES. Lexington, Ky., October 23. The Kentucky State Racing Commission will meet in the clubhouse at Latonia at noon Thursday next, according to a notice given here today by Secretary S. C. Nuckols, Jr. The call is made at the request of Gen. AV. B. Haldeman and Chas. Grainger and the meeting is for the purpose of considering an allotment of racing dates for next spring. Chairman Johnson N. Camden will not be present. He left the hospital in New York today to occupy his room in a hotel for several days before venturing on a journey to Kentucky. The information is that he is recovering his health. Secretary G. D. AVilson of the Kentucky Association this afternoon stated that he will attend the meeting of the Commission and will ask for twelve days for racing here next spring, with a cut to nine days in the fall. The local request will be j that the racing season shall open here as usual I during the last week in April.
