CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. The time of race 30011 was 1:13 and not 1:15, as previously published, the error being one of telegraphic transmission. Old Superstition, which ran so many good races in Harry N. Pierces colors, is in training for tlte hunt meetings in Virginia. Miss Olivia Israel, owner of Thorndale Stock Farm, who has been seriously sick at the Good Samaritan Hospital at Lexington, Ky., for several weeks, is now much improved. Ernest Heider, who was badly injured when Pebeto, leased by Thomas Hictlicock for the Piping Bock Subscription Steeplechase, fell with him, is well on the road to recovery. F. Ambrose Clark lias purchased from Mrs. Clark the steeplechaser Falmouth, winner of the recent sweepstakes at Piping Rock. Falmouth will run for Mr. Clark in the Manly Memorial, the principal stake for steeplechasers at Pimlico. Boots, the five-year-old bay gelding by nessian Little Flower, by Star Ruby, recently purchased by A. K. Macomber for the reported price of 5,000, was sent from this country as a yearling, along with several other yearlings from J. It. Hag-gins Elmendorf Farm, to England and sold at New-: market on October 3, 1912, for 75 guineas, or about 00. The Calumet Stable will be a new racing establishment which will try for honors on the New York track next season. C. M. Garrison, a New York broker, with large interests in Arizona and California, will be sponsor for the stable. He has arranged with William Jennings of Mount Washington, Md., to use the old Jennings colors, for many years so well known on the local turf. These colors were blue with white cap, and the only change that will be made will be that the colors of the Calumet Stable will carry a copper cap instead of the old Jennings white. Mr. Garrison has long been an admirer of the thoroughbred and owned horses several years ago, although he did not race them under his own name. Mr. Jennings is in the market for a few good two-year-olds to bring to the New York races for the Calumet Stable next spring.
