OFFICIALS FOR DEVONSHIRE MEETING. Montreal, Que., October 23. At a recent meeting of the directors of the Western Racing Association, operating the Devonshire Park race track at Wind-son, the officials for the second and final meeting of this season were appointed. The officials, with the exception of the starter, will be the same as at the inaugural meeting. The directors have made arrangements for .many improvements overlooked at the last meeting which will afford better accommodation for the public. The program book, which lias made its apoearance, is a good one and assures the t best class of fields on the independent Canadian circuit this season. The track management has decided that the -war tax collected by them at the gate at the last meeting will be paid by the association at this meeting. This will make some difference to the public and, although the small tax of ten cents did not amount to much, it caused some inconvenience to patrons which the management of the park wish to avoid at future meetings. The track has been well cared for and will be in better condition than during the inaugural meeting. The following are the officials: Stewards, M. Nathanson and W. J. Morrison; racing secretary, M. Nathanson; presiding judge, Sherida.a Clarke; associate judges, E. C. St. Pere and Charles Campeau; clerk of. the scales, Charles Campeau; starter, Edward Tribe. .
