DEVONSHIRE PARKS VALUABLE STAKES. Secretary Martin Nathanson says and what he says is authoritative that the Devonshire Park meeting of next summer, for which the dates of June 30 to July 7 have been claimed, will be dignified by the following list of valuable stake races: July 4 Devonshire Park Handicap, for three-year-olds and over; 0 to enter, and 0 more to start; ,000 added; one mile and a quarter. June 30 Greater Detroit Handicap, for three-year-olds and over; 0 to enter, and hB10 more to start; ,500 added; one mile and an eighth. July 2 Dominion Handicap, for three-year-olds and over; 0 to enter, and 0 more to start; ,000 added; three-quarters of a mile. July 3 Stake for two-year-olds; ,000 added; five-eighths of a mile. July 0 Stake for two-year-olds; ,000 added; five and a half furlongs. July 7 Great Lakes Handicap, three-year-olds and over; 0 to enter, and 0 more to start; ,000 added; one mile and a sixteenth. The races for two-year-olds will be given appropriate names later on. When entry blanks are sent out next spring, they will make the other entirely acceptable announcement that no purse at Devonshire will be of less value than added. All of which will convey to owners a forcible impression that new things are coming off in Canada next year. The fact that the foregoing are all added money events, and that the big endowments are for three-year-olds and over, must be received favorably. It will now be in order for the other Windsor organizations to take notice. It may be said that owners will be curious as to how great their measure of emulation of this generous example will be.
