GLOAMING followed the pacemaker closely to the stretch turn, then finished fast and got up to win in the last stride. TING-A-LING was taken back and messed about, but finished in resolute fashion and wearing the winner down. ETRUSCAN was much used in forcing the pace and tired in the stretch drive. LORAC set a fast early pace and finished gamely. LORD BYRON ran well. The winner, entered for ,200, was bid up to ,905 and bought in. Scratched 301302Ben Hampson, 88. JUL BROOK was saved under restraint until in the last turn of the field, then moved up steadily and, outstaying BET in the final drive, won going away. BET closed up with a rush when going to the last jump, but tired right at the finish. SIMON JONES fenced well, but tired badly in the last sixteenth.
