. EFFECTIVE SERVICE RENDERED THEIR OWNER BY KOH-I-NOOR AND HANSON IN THE PRESENT YEARS RACING 4, ; Mr. Schuyler L. Parsons was the possessor of a fine two-year-old filly in this years racing. This was the black filly Koh-i-Noor, by Dr. Leggo Priceless Jewel. She cost Mr. Parsons at the sale of the Spreckels yearlings in 1915, and since she won 1916.sh,045 in this years racing, was a decidedly profitable business investment, aside from the exultation that naturally was another product of her excellent performances in competition with others of her age. Hanson was second to the filly in his contribution of money won and is a fast horse, although not a stayer. He ran some capital races over distances within his compass. The Sain filly, Aixen, won a couple of races out of her five starts and may prove worth keeping an eye on in next years racing. Of the older horses, Sharpshooter only contrived to finish lirst on one occasion and the at one-time exceedingly fast Phosphor was unable to do anything effective. The record of his modest stable is: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. AAon.
